Often, when you develop severe pain in a tooth that is sensitive to hot or cold or both with the pain radiating to other teeth, jaw, face , ear , temple or other head and neck areas, disturbing sleep, it means the nerve is dying and the tooth has two fates ... One option is extraction where the tooth is lost. The other is RCT allowing you to keep the tooth. Well done RCT with crowns can last years to over 5 decades.
